This spring, after a competitive application process, the Umpqua region, was named one of Oregon’s newest Blue Zones Project Demonstration Communities! We joined forty-two other communities in nine states across the country that have or are in the process of implementing the Blue Zones Project model. By working as a partner to individuals, organizations throughout a community and policymakers, Blue Zones Project has helped these communities become better places for people to live, work, learn and play.
