Everyone has a purpose. What's yours?

If you could relive your life, what would you do differently? When retirees answered this question, most said they'd:
-Take risks to pursue their dreams
-Find their purpose earlier in life

Attend the free Purpose Workshop and find your true purpose-that unique thing that makes you your best. Start living your and add 7 years to your life. It's your life, so live it fully! Take home tools you need to be the best possible you!

Continue the exploration by joining a Moai!
Belonging to a group of supportive, like-minded people who share your passion for healthy living, including being able to articulate your purpose, might be the single-most powerful thing you can do to change your lifestyle for the better. In one study looking at the impact of ties with friends and relatives, club membership, and level of volunteerism, those with the most social connections tended to live the longest.

The most important thing you can do is spend time with people who support healthy habits-yours and their own. All of the world's longest-lived people were born into-or consciously chose to associate with-supportive, healthy-minded people.

What is a Moai?
The notion of Moai-which roughly means "meeting for a common purpose" -originated as a means of social, emotional, and financial support in the longevity hotspot of Okinawa, Japan.

What is a Purpose Moai?
A Blue Zones Project Purpose Moai is a group of 5-12 people who regularly gather together to share in exploration and conversations surrounding the concept of purpose. Ideally, the group commits to meeting at least once per week over the course of ten weeks.

Why Participate in a Purpose Moai?
-Make new friends and get to know your community better
-Learn more about the importance of purpose and how it can contribute to a longer, happier life
-Explore your unique purpose in life and learn how to clearly articulate it for yourself and others

Why is purpose important for health and longevity?
Okinawans call it ikigai, and Nicoyans call it plan de vida, but in both cultures of these Blue Zones, the phrases roughly translate to, "why I wake up in the morning." What’s your reason to get out of bed every morning? Studies show that people with a clear goal in life, or something to wake up for every morning, live longer and stay mentally sharper than those who don’t. When we use our time – and our gifts and passions – on things that are truly important to us, we are living with purpose.

What can I expect to gain from a Purpose Workshop?
A certified facilitator will guide participants through an interactive workshop that begins you on a purpose journey. The workshop is appropriate for all individuals age 15 years and older. In the workshop, you will clarify your purpose and set goals that will help you live a more fulfilled and intentional life. You will navigate transitions in your life, discern your gifts and talents, identify your passion, and reflect on your values. You will be equipped with the tools you need to create daily purpose practices so that you can continue the journey to discover and express your purpose in the days, weeks, and years beyond the workshop.
